MIDLEVEL STAFF

MEMBERS

The journal's midlevel staff is responsible for the selection and editing of individual articles and notes. It is comprised of Submissions Committee members who read and select articles and notes for publication, Lead Editors who coordinate and supervise the editing of a single article or note, and Associate Managing Editors who ensure that members have access to all the sources cited in an article or note.

The journal's membership consists of approximately seventy students in addition to the executive board and senior staff. General members are critical to SJIL's existence as a publication and as an organization. After reading and analyzing the full article/note, general members suggest structural improvements, perform a series of edits, and check referenced authorities within their assigned portion of the article or note.
